Coaching is different from mentoring and therapy - it’s about helping you find the solutions for yourself and learning new tools to achieve your goals
Ethics is key - this is a key component for training and when selecting a coach
If you want to be a coach training is crucial - it prepares you to better help your clients including active listening, conflict resolution, and education
Trust and openness is key to a successful coaching relationship - make sure you are able to speak openly with your coach
Coaching resolves to life - it can be hard work and challenging but leads to you discovering the solutions you need are already inside you, sometimes we just need help breaking through
Coaching takes time and the path to your goals may look different than you expect
Get clear on why you want a coach before you start your search - understand your goals and values
Cultivate endurance with your coach - patience, accountability, and navigating challenging conversations
Embrace continuous learning - this will include uncomfortable silences, challenging questions, and work to achieve your goals
Coaching is an investment in yourself! Ask yourself what your career or goals are worth, and make yourself a priority
