Pancakes
"Great things happen to those who don't believing, trying, learning, and being grateful." - Roy T. Bennett
I watched a recent discussion between Brené Brown, Adam Grant, and Simon Sinek. In the discussion, Simon used the analogy of making pancakes to discuss what separates exceptional ideas from good ideas.
He describes that when you make pancakes often the first one is not good, and it’s not until that third pancake that we get the “perfect” one, the one we serve.
However, often when people are working on a new idea they shoot for the third pancake first, and give up when it doesn’t come out perfect.
So the next time you work on something new, give yourself time to get to the “third pancake.”
