I recently celebrated Christmas with my family. As a resident of southern California, the winter holidays usually feel a little strange with blue skies and sun. This year it rained and gave me a rare feeling of cold winter (okay a 50-degree cold winter, but it’s not 70 degrees and sunny!) with a cozy fireplace and stockings hung with care.
The holidays are a time of coming together and celebrating family and friends as well as a time filled with reflection. This can be nostalgia for times past, people who are no longer with us, and chapters that have closed. This reflective moment in our personal life is often overlooked when it comes to other areas of our lives.
There is a power in taking time not only to look forward but to look back. What have you accomplished? What have you learned? What have you experienced? There’s likely a mix of good and bad, and that’s called life.
I am reflecting back on 2021 as I consider what I desire for 2022. I am practicing being more intentional about goals in all areas of my life and setting big, ambitious goals that scare me.
In the meantime, I have included a few of my favorite resources that I use all year long, as well as a look forward to events in 2022.
In the next edition of this newsletter be on the lookout for reviews and recommendations for getting organized, favorite planners, and tips to achieve your goals.
