I believe the hardest part of developing or creating anything is deciding when to “ship it.”
There’s always more to do, more to polish, more to add, but it’s important to know when to put your pencil down and share it with your customers.
The flip side of this is the risk of mediocrity. When we settle for the safe path and no longer hold ourselves, others, or our work to a higher standard, we create something that is safe, and likely a little boring.
Be wary of the people and organizations that prefer mediocrity over taking risks and pushing to continually raise the bar.
Mediocrity is easy, but is it worth it? (Hint: No)
